The Simplicity Of Massage
One of the most popular ways people enjoy aromatherapy is with massage oils. The scented oil not only permeates your skin, giving you the benefits of aromatherapy, but the massage relaxes you and makes your stress melt away. And don't worry if you don't have a partner for massage. Except for your back, you can it yourself. Here's a good massage for tired feet. First clean your feet well, exfoliate them, and dry them off, then mix four drops of rosemary essential oil and two drops of lemon essential oil to 1/2 cup of a base oil, such as almond. Rest whichever foot you start on across the other knee (if you can) with a towel between the knee and the area just above your ankle. Apply the massage oil first to your ankle, rubbing in slight circles. Move on to your heel, covering the entire heel with a circular motion. Next, run your thumb from your heel to the ball of your foot in long strokes, starting at the arch and moving toward the outside of the foot. Massage the ball of your foot from the inside edge to the outside edge, then move up and do the same directly under your toes. Squeeze each toe gently, pulling them upwards.
